Lodge renovation and expansion is underway. We praise God for this milestone and we can't wait to see how God will use this newly renovated space for His glory.

 

Camp AREV is seeking volunteers to come together on June 26-27 to demo the lodge.

 

Work Details: 

- Demo the front porch

- Demo the back extension room

- Remove all exterior siding

- Remove all dry walls

- much more.....

What to Bring? 

- Heavy Work gloves (Mandatory for everyone)

- Protective glasses

- Face Masks (N95 preferable but not necessary: for dust as well as COVID)

- Closed toed/work shoes

- Sunscreen and reusable water bottles

- Tools List: (These tools are necessary in order for us to have a successful demo weekend.)

    - Hammers

    - Crowbars

    - Nail Pullers

    - Flat Shovels

    - Brooms

    - Picks (ones with pointy end and flat end: great for removing drywall)

    - Sawzall (Battery operated or corded)

    - Wheel Barrow (We need at least 3)

    - Appliance/Furniture Dolly (to remove all the appliances from the old kitchen)

Volunteer Weekend Details/Schedule:

​Thursday Evening arrival after 6pm. (dinner on your own)

 

​Friday

  • 8am breakfast

  • 9-10:30am work session #1

  • 10:30 -10:45 short break

  • 10:45 - 12:30 work session #2

  • 12:30 Lunch

  • 1:30 - 3:30 work session #3

  • 3:30 - 3:45 short break 

  • 3:45 - 5:30 work session #4

  • 6:00 pm dinner

 

Saturday

  • 8am breakfast

  • 9-10:30am work session #1

  • 10:30 -10:45 short break

  • 10:45 - 12:30 work session #2

  • 12:30 Lunch

  • 1:30 - 3:30 work session #3

  • 3:30 - 3:45 short break 

  • 3:45 - 5:30 work session #4

  • 6:00 pm celebration dinner

Volunteers are expected to work and follow instruction. If there are volunteers 18 years and under that plan to stay overnight, Camp AREV will not provide leaders such as counselors or staff to oversee youth. In addition, Camp AREV will not provide any transportation details or arrangements for this weekend. All attendees must work out their own arrival and departure. All volunteers must follow all Camp AREV safety rules and guidelines.In addition we will screen all volunteers upon arrival and every morning with temperature checks and screening questions based on the COVID-19 CDC recommendations. We will also implement practicing social distancing and increase sanitary/disinfecting guidelines.

If you have had a fever or other upper respiratory symptoms, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive case, please refrain from volunteering at this time.
