Meet Our Speaker
Logan Herr
Growing up on the East Coast in Pennsylvania, Logan attended his first week of summer church camp with his junior high school friends. Coming from a non-Christian family, this was the first place and time that Logan learned about God, the Bible, Jesus, and all the amazing love and grace we can experience through relationship with the Lord. This initial acceptance of Jesus as our savior started a lifelong journey where Logan began to transform his life and the lives of others to build God’s Kingdom.
Throughout high school Logan was involved in the same church that started the summer camp he attended, and he regularly went to youth group and Sunday services with his friends & their families. During his time in college at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, Logan found his community through a Christian group called Cru, where he served as a community outreach and bible study leader for several years. Through Cru, he also went on a missions trip to Spain to evangelize to foreign travelers who were backpacking on the El Camino trail – a spiritual pilgrimage route that attracts people from many different cultures and faiths. This trip culminated in Logan’s baptism and was a pivotal part in his faith journey. Logan also met the love of his life at Cru during college – which is what brought him out to Los Angeles and into the Armenian community.
Happily Married to Lindsay Phillips Herr since 2022 – Logan now lives in LA with his wife and their family, and is an active member of United Armenian Congregational Church. Outside of church and work, Logan spends his free time outdoors pursuing his passion of adventure sports including skiing, surfing, hiking, backpacking, and more! He also enjoys volunteering for Imagine LA, where he mentors young men in underserved families in the LA area. Over the past few years, Logan and his wife have served together as youth leaders for the middle and high school groups at UACC. Additionally, Logan has been a counselor at Camp Arev, a special place to his wife as she grew up going there every year. Logan has fallen in love with the beautiful place and amazing people that Camp Arev brings together. He is so excited to take part in sharing the gospel and witnessing God build amazing relationships and grow His Kingdom this year at Jr High Winter Camp!
